Annual Supervisor Training a Success

Almost 200 attendees participated in the Food Safety Refresher for Supervisors that was held on August 31st. This was a great opportunity for supervisors to learn about GAP rules, foodborne illnesses and several other topics.

The Yuma Safe Produce Council was grateful to receive a grant for the training. Funding for the Supervisor Food Safety Training for Leafy Greens Production was made possible by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service through grant 21SCBPAZ1084-00. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the USDA.

The generosity of the grant allowed all to attend without charge for 2022. The Yuma Safe Produce Council looks forward to hosting additional training opportunities in the future.
